Social Enterprise of the Day – Check TB
International; For-Profit
Check TB understands the best cure is prevention. They look to connect affected communities with funders, in order to bring them health care technologies that could save lives. Direct Digital Radiology (DR) is the newest advance in digital imaging, and enables early detection of tuberculosis. The technology can also be cheaper than traditional x-rays, and is more energy efficient. The imaging also lends itself to remote diagnosis, as images can be texted to health-care professionals from more remote areas. Their service is expertise, providing key information on key performance indicators for new digital radiology programs in low and medium resource areas. They recently partnered with the World Health Organization to advise new projects under their Stop TB program. Check TB works to bring the latest in medical advancement to the communities that need it most.
