Something for Everywun!

We are “beyond” excited to announce that we are teaming up with our friends at Everywun!

Everywun inspires people to think differently about how we can make a better world by using a technology that incentivizes every person, business, and nonprofit to work together towards this goal. The technology, which launched on Everywun.com in March 2009, enables members to earn credits for taking cost-free actions, brand marketers to sponsor those actions, and non-profits to carry out the impact – like planting a tree or feeding a child – which members choose when redeeming their credits.

everywunWhat excites Beyond Profit is that Everywun part of a new breed of organization that allows people to contribute without having to do so monetarily. We, at Beyond Profit, will be sponsoring an Everywun “challenge” this week. For every participant in our challenge, we will plant a tree. Being a print publication, we are always concerned about our environmental footprint. This is our first small act to decrease this environmental footprint. We figure, if trees are being cut down to print our magazine, we can plant a few trees to make up for this loss, and to keep our planet a green place.

The success of Everywun.com in only a few short months has demonstrated the social impact possible, while offering value for everyone involved. Everywun is now partnering with social enterprises that will be able to utilize the same technology to support their own social good missions. Take a look at how everyone wins with Everywun’s technology:

* Social Enterprises (nonprofits or “good” businesses) – Everywun provides the technology needed to increase revenue, enhance engagement with community members, and boost brand presence online.

* Brand Marketers – Everywun offers an alternative to traditional advertising that provides better return for marketing dollars by partnering with customers and communities to support meaningful causes.

* People – Everywun incentivizes people to provide ongoing and valuable support to the causes that they care about – without spending money and even in the comfort of their own homes.

Look for a feature on Everywun and similar new breed organizations in our upcoming issue, to be launched at the beginning of October!
